Watch (perhaps several times) James Tanton's perspective on graphing quadratic functions. Consider his argument that using the axis of symmetry (x = -b/2a) is not a mandate for graphing parabolas. Expect me to hand you some quadratic functions on Monday and have you graph using the Tanton method.
